connected steering rod to the rudder pedals. After connecting the rods I have found that they are too short. The drawings show 170 mm +/- 5 mm from the top of the rudder pedals to the firewall. To set the pedals to this distance the connector at the front of the rod would only be held on by about 4 turns. This is FAR from being acceptable. We are going to either build longer rods or cut these rods and slide a steel tube over them and weld them to the length needed. They need to be about 10 mm longer.
