| Then I cut a hole in the fiberglass airbox and riveted a filter bypass flap to a rubber hinge which is riveted to the bottom of the airbox. The front of the flap is held down with a small magnet which is riveted to the front of the bypass hole. This allows the flap to open if the filter is not allowing enough air to flow. I will also add a small IR sensor to the airbox so that I will know if the flap is opening. That would mean that it is time to change the filter. |
